Upcoming tournaments at the start of the season in Dota 2
The main event of this year in the e-sports discipline DOTA2, namely, The International 2019 ended with the next season. However, for e-sportsmen and fans of this new season begins.
The nearest major tournaments, which are worth paying attention to all fans of the game, are:
1. ESL One Hamburg 2019;
2. DreamLeague S12;
3. WePlay! Reshuffle Madness 2019.
There is still a rather long period of time before these tournaments, before these tournaments the teams will be allowed to rest for a month, they will hold open and closed qualifications, and they will also change the meta of the game.
DreamLeague S12
DreamLeague S12 will be held from October 12 to 20 in the Netherlands with a prize pool of the tournament of 250 thousand dollars. This country will host a major Dota 2 tournament for the first time in its history.
16 teams will fight for the victory. The list of teams is still unknown, the teams will be determined through qualifications and several teams will receive direct invitations.

ESL One Hamburg 2019
It will be held from October 22 to October 27, 2019. The venue of the tournament will be Hamburg (Germany), which has repeatedly hosted tournaments of this series. 12 teams will compete for victory in the tournament, who will compete with each other for solid prize money, namely 300 thousand dollars.
The first team to receive a slot for this tournament was a team from the CIS, namely Virtus.pro, which already won the tournament of this series.
Invitations to this tournament will receive another 7 teams whose names are not yet known. The remaining 4 teams will be determined using regional qualifications.
Regional qualifications will be held in the following regions:
- Europe;
- CIS;
- North America;
- South America;
- China;
- Southeast Asia.
The organizers have not yet told the details of how they will distribute 4 slots into 6 regions, most likely 2 teams will be determined from each region, between which ultimately a cut will begin for 4 slots, possibly 2 vacant places will leave immediately from one region.
ESL One Hamburg 2019 is the first tournament of the Major tournament line to give DPC points which will be used to determine the participants of the next The International 2020 main tournament. The winner of the tournament will guarantee participation in this tournament, so the teams will try to show their best game to pick up a huge prize tidbit and guarantee yourself a slot at The International 2020.
WePlay! Reshuffle Madness 2019
A new line of tournaments that promises to be fiery. The prize pool of this tournament will be rather meager compared to the Major lineup, however, with due attention to the tournament, it will most likely be increased.
- 1st place - 30 thousand dollars;
- 2nd place - 10 thousand dollars;
- 3rd and 4th place for 5 thousand dollars.
In the WePlay tournament! Reshuffle Madness 2019 will bring together 20 teams. Slots for the tournament will be distributed as follows:
- 8 slots will be played through open qualifiers, which will be held from September 6 to 9,
- 8 teams will receive invitations immediately to the group stage of the tournament, which will be held from September 16 to 19,
- 4 teams will receive an invitation immediately to the main stage of the tournament, namely to the playoffs, which will be held from September 20 to 23.
In the playoffs of the tournament there will be 12 teams (4 of which are by invitation), where they will meet in the BO - 3 format. The tournament finale will be held in the BO-5 format.
